MSI is developing itself a proud history of netbook computers, but whilst the Taiwanese manufacturer’s original 2008 foray – the Wind U100 – took the concept of cheap and cheerful all too literally, its 2010 successors hope to introduce an added sense of sophistication, its battery specification is similar to thinkpad x60 series battery.

Take for example the MSI Wind U160, a modern netbook that aesthetically, at least, doesn’t reflect a relatively paltry £330 asking price.

First unveiled at January’s Consumer Electronics Show, the system abandons the Wind’s traditional clamshell design in favour of something more sleek and refined.

Measuring under 20mm at its thickest point, it’s MSI’s thinnest-ever netbook and our review sample – equipped with a useful six-cell battery – weighs just 1.2kg, making it small, ultra-thin, ultra-light and suitably portable in every sense.

At this year’s CeBIT is a netbook from MSI , which is particularly conspicuous by their long battery life.

The 6 -cell battery of the MSI Wind U160 netbook to offer up to 15 hours battery life it is same to the sony vgp-bps2c. The device MSI at CeBIT 2010 C38 in Hall 17 , Stand . The Wind U160 will go on sale in March and will cost € 349 and be available in black and gold . With a height of 25 mm, the Wind U160 is currently the thinnest netbook with an Atom N450 CPU. The 10- inch display is said to have a response time of 8 ms .

By Eco -mode users select the various modes , including ” Normal “and “Turbo Battery ” for a long useful life. Even the mechanical switch to Wi-Fi when not in use the wireless function to help save power. MSI also promises easy access to main memory to replace the RAM module. Furthermore , the Netbook with 1.3 – megapixel webcam , Bluetooth , card reader and three USB 2.0 ports equipped . Using Windows 7 starters used.

There is no slot for UMTS cards only in an additional version of the U160 .
