Review of the Month (April): Light Antivirus validated equipment

April has been a month full of interesting opinions, and we are increasingly more difficult to opt for one reason or another, since the level is quite high.

The April winner is pvttrevor Prize repeating, as in November last year we were also surprised by publicizing Wake on LAN technology, and in January became a finalist .

The second and third place is for morongito and HARDRAIN . The first recommended Macrium Reflect , a backup manager to take into account. For its part, HARDRAIN highlights Mandriva Linux distributions and review has tried before.

Microsoft Security Essentials – Antivirus validated lightweight equipment

Opinion pvttrevor April 30:

MSE and supplies to disable Windows Defender, offering real-time protection and specific analysis on demand with low resource consumption and little interference with user tasks.

(…) Microsoft is based on 3 aspects to not slow down your computer: Rapid response to user tasks, use of idle computer time for updates and scans, and finally to avoid taking up too much memory with virus signatures not needed at that time.

(…) In short, this is a good antivirus with a high detection rate (over 90% according to AV-Test.org tests), light and easy to use. Read the full opinion.

Macrium reflect – Program based on XP

Opinion morongito April 28:

If you do not know yet, you’ll be amazed as I am, how fast and easy it is to create an exact copy of your system disk, or want, which is fully functioning when you restore, all your settings, programs, etc.

(…) The program compresses extra copy in my case 7 Gb – 3 Gb I recommend doing on optical discs, although the program can store the backup in more ways. Read the full opinion.

Mandriva Linux – Mandriva or Mandravilla!

Opinion HARDRAIN April 26:

(…) When installing Mandriva One everything was perfection, the perfect live, installation in "Spanish" from the outset "GREAT", 100% detection of hardware, comes with everything you need and of course you can add anything you want.

Loads very quickly, even tried to put only 512MB and moved like silk, KDE 4 very aesthetic, very well organized. Read the full opinion.

Thank you all for your opinions!
