Step 1: Download and install Picasa
Picasa is a free program that will be used to straighten crooked photos. It also serves to do many more things that we will see in future tutorials.

The installation of Picasa no complications.
Step 2: Upload a photo
Picasa automatically analyzes your photos that are on your hard drive. It also lets you drag the photo directly to the program.
The process of incorporating your photos to Picasa is practically automatic and can choose which folders you want to include and what not. Anyway, even automatically adds new photos, sometimes a little hard to appear.
Well, here is the picture distorted. But if we look only to the person windsurfing seems that the photo is straight. But if we look at the horizon we can see clearly that is very crooked.
Step 3: Straighten
In Picasa, already located the photo, double click on the photo to correct. Then click on the "Straighten."
After pressing "Straighten" image appears with a grid superimposed. This grid is useful to straighten the picture (of course, and if not would not).
Move the selector to the left or the right to correct the tilt. It is advisable to look at the grille match any horizontal or vertical component of the photograph, for example the horizon, sand, a pole, building, etc..
In this case we have moved the dial clockwise until the sand has coincided with one of the grid lines and the horizon has been aligned (almost gone).
As is to your liking, click Apply.
Step 4: Save the result
Would do little to correct the picture and then not do anything with it. Well, would serve to look perfectly straight and admire the result of our work.
Well, Picasa allows you to save the picture with the changes from the File menu, save to another file or even export it.
The "Export to a folder image is very useful because it lets you choose the size and quality of the resulting image.
