Problem: On photos from the SLR camera you can see exactly the same place small interfering spots. Is something broken? Solution: Most likely the sensor is dirty. Some SLR cameras have a self-cleaning function. For more information, see the manual or the camera’s menu. Find a term such as ultrasonic cleaning or similar. Then follow the instructions in the manual.
Older models do not offer such a function. But even among them a cleaning. The following guide will help also, if stubborn dirt particles can not be removed by ultrasonic cleaning. The procedure may be different from camera model to camera model slightly, but it comes at the end all the same: First, you buy one in the photo specialty store called Sensor Wall. These come in various sizes. Find out what works for your camera model. Alternatively, you can also take a thin wooden or plastic spatula D and this saw to the size of the camera model. You also need here isopropanol alcohol, a microfiber cloth and an enema.
Screw in the lens. Go to the Camera menu under Tools on the mirror. Click Next to inspection / folding mirrors. Press the shutter button. The mirror swings up, the sensor is exposed. Before you clean the sensor with the sensor wall / plastic spatula, you should try it with the enema or the bellows. Hold the camera with the lens down so the dust can fall out.
A dirty sensor, you get clean with a spatulathe sensor is still dirty, access to the sensor wall / plastic spatula. Cut the microfiber into equal quarters. Wrap several times around the fourth Sensor-Wand/Plastikspachtel. You dribble before the final taping something isopropanol alcohol on the cloth, so it is slightly damp. Now move very carefully with the sensor wall / plastic spatula over the sensor.
After cleaning, turn off the camera, which automatically pops up the mirror again. Attach the lens. Check using a white sheet, whether the sensor is now photographed stains. To do this, the lens at a telephoto focal length (for example 200 mm). Switch to the smallest aperture (e.g. 22). Turn off the autofocus off and focus manually to infinity. Now take a white paper to focus on it and shoot it several times. Copy the photos to the PC and enlarge it with an image editing program to 200-300 percent. There must be no more spots to be seen.
